Join us in welcoming Becca Lo Presti to the Green Mountain United Way team as a Project Manager, where she will support several projects that promote the well-being and financial stability of Caledonia, Essex, Orleans, Orange and Washington counties.
“We are so excited to have Becca join us as we continue to support the working families of our 5 county service area and beyond,” said Tawnya Kristen, Executive Director of the Green Mountain United Way. “Her enthusiasm and passion for this work are a wonderful addition to our team.”
Lo Presti previously served as an AmeriCorps Stewards VISTA at the Vermont Granite Museum in Barre. There, she worked in collections management, development, communications, and volunteer engagement, while also participating in a national training on poverty alleviation and civic service. Lo Presti is an active member of the Barre community as a member of Gen Rotary and the chair of the Community Center Committee.
“I am so excited to be joining the Green Mountain United Way team,” said Lo Presti. “I have already fallen in love with Vermont during my short time here, and I am honored to be working with an organization that advocates so passionately for Vermonters. This is my way of giving back to the state.”
Lo Presti grew up in Southington, Connecticut, before attending Hofstra University on Long Island. At college, she majored in History and minored in Art History and French. In addition to her academic studies, Lo Presti was a Fellow at Hofstra’s Center for Civic Engagement, where she organized campus events and partnered with local not-for-profits. She moved to Barre in January, 2021, to start her AmeriCorps year of service.
