GMUW Staff Are Going For Their Goals

Green Mountain United Way employs a might staff of seven, and each member of the team brings depth of experience, compassion, and commitment to their role. It’s an incredible team to be a part of! Everyone works hard to achieve our mission, and three staff members are putting in extra time and effort to achieve their educational goals and expand their skillsets. Read all about them and their efforts, below!

Blaire Haggett, Resource Coordinator

Next Gen Personal Finance Distinguished Educator

The NGPF Distinguished Educator award recognizes teachers who complete 6+ NGPF Certification Courses. Blaire just recently completed 6 NGPF Certifications as a participant in the most recent cohort, and she has now earned this impressive recognition!

“I began pursuing courses through Next Gen Personal Finance primarily to be able to have access to fun educational tools to reach a wider variety of ages to teach financial life skills,” says Blaire. “It has been a fun way to learn new banking trends.”

Blaire is looking forward to using her new credentials to develop financial courses to bring to Working Bridges sites — for both employees and their kids! Go Blaire!

Julia Davis, Impact Director

Master’s Candidate in Design Management from Savannah College of Art & Design

Julia has been hard at work learning the ins and outs of design, and she brings these skills to her role at GMUW in the form of impactful infographics and data visuals that show the breadth and reach of our work. Her contributions have elevated our ability to communicate our results to our supporters and partners.

Says Julia about her program: “Design Management aims to link technology, innovation, management, users/clients and design to create a competitive edge across all industries.” More specifically, she says, “It’s the science of using design to improve synergy and collaboration between business and design to enhance design effectiveness.”

Julia has an anticipated graduation date of June 2024. Please join us in congratulating her on the completion of a demanding semester. One more to go!

Sarah Galbraith, Director of Development and Community Engagement

Fundraising and Development Certificate from Common Good Vermont

Sarah was welcomed into the 2024 cohort of the program with full scholarship funding from Vermont Student Assistance Corporation. She is most looking forward to forming relationships with a professional peer group, establishing mentorships, and learning new ways to evaluate fundraising data. She plans to use these new skills to build a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the 2024-25 fiscal year at GMUW.

“I’m thrilled to be joining this group, and even more excited to bring my newfound knowledge to my role at Green Mountain United Way,” says Sarah.

Let’s wish her all the best!

Congratulations to all the team members at GMUW who bring so much to their roles. Go team, go!
