Vermont State Employees Workplace Giving Campaign

Green Mountain United Way works with a committee of State employees to organize this fundraising campaign each year. The campaign offers employees with the State of Vermont the opportunity to designate payroll deduction donations to nonprofit organizations serving Vermonters, including United Ways around the state and their partners.

Each United Way, called an “Umbrella organization,” oversees the nonprofit organizations in their coverage area. Green Mountain United Way acts as the Umbrella organization for nonprofits headquartered in and serving Vermonters within Bennington, Caledonia, Essex, Orange, Orleans, Washington, and Windsor Counties.

Each year, nonprofit organizations can apply to participate in the program.

The 2024 application is now open. Applications will be due on Friday June 7, 2024.

To apply, please follow these steps:

1) Please answer the questions in this online form. (The application should take less than 15 minutes.)

2) Complete the required Federal Anti-Terrorism Form. (Click the link to download the MS Word document.) The completed and signed form can be emailed to Sarah at sgalbraith@gmunitedway.org. Electronic signatures are acceptable.

3) If you are a new participant (meaning, you did not participate last year), please also send a copy of your organization's most recent 501(c)(3) IRS Tax Exempt Determination Letter to Sarah at sgalbraith@gmunitedway.org

You will be notified of the status of your organization's review in August 2024.
