VtShares Nonprofit Application Opens March 27

VtSHARES is the State of Vermont employee workplace giving campaign. Green Mountain United Way works with a committee of State employees to organize this fundraising campaign each year. The campaign offers employees with the State of Vermont the opportunity to designate payroll deduction donations to nonprofit organizations serving Vermonters, including United Ways around the state and their partners. Each year, nonprofit organizations can apply to participate in the program. This year’s application is open from March 27 through April 28, 2023. Nonprofits are invited to apply to be included in the directory of nonprofits from which State of Vermont employees can make selections for their payroll deduction designations.

Each United Way, called an “Umbrella organization,” oversees the nonprofit organizations in their coverage area. Green Mountain United Way acts as the Umbrella organization for nonprofits headquartered in and serving Vermonters within Bennington, Caledonia, Essex, Orange, Orleans, Washington, and Windsor Counties.

All application materials are posted on Green Mountain United Way’s website, on the VtSHARES page. Applicants can download application materials from the website. Please send any questions to vtshares@gmunitedway.org or Sarah Galbraith, with Green Mountain United Way, at sgalbraith@gmunitedway.org or 802-613-3989.
